Meanwhile Back At The Trailer.....

Hey, I know you all are familiar with my Etsy shop, YelliKelli. Well, I do have another shop, Little Pink Trailer, also on Etsy, where I sell vintage items and silly craft supplies. Well, I have been wanting to do a different line of girls dresses for a while. So, I listed my first one today! It is a dreamy pink confection made up of a variety of vintage fabrics along with some hand embroidery and beading. Check it out in my "other" shop!

Here Comes The............ FlowerGirl!!!

I made this set for a dear customer. She followed me from Ebay to Etsy after getting several items from me. This is for a Darling little girl who will be the "flower girl" in an upcoming wedding. She will wear this for the rehearsal dinner and reception after the ceremony! The colors of the wedding are apple green and brown. I also made her a cute little tulle hair clippie!

The back of the set shows her as the Flower Girl.

New Etsy Order Just Completed

I just finished these little Embroidered monogram pillows along with these other items for a dear Etsy customer. The monograms are for sisters, one loves blue and her yellow lab, and the other loves pink and her Lamb Lovie. I just love my freehand embroidery! I haven't been stitching as much lately because I am doing so many paintings and clothing sets, but it is so relaxing! I am going to work on some new designs over the weekend!

A Grocery Store Find!

Hmmmmm...I am walking through the grocery store the other day and look up...why is this stuff always on the high shelves? I see a bag of puffed brown rice. Hmmmmmm....what could I do with this stuff? Now, I am the one who will eat plain spagetti noodles without sauce, or plain cooked rice without seasoning. I love bland comforting (ok, I guess starchy) foods. I decided to try some. (My DD immediately said "Yuk" but she had not tasted it yet).. I tasted it at home and thought, well it reminds me of sugar smacks cereal, without the sugar coating. I tried some in milk, a little soggy, (no sugar crispy coating) but OK. Then I thought...how about using this to make whole grain rice krispie treats? Or using it in homemade granola or trail mix? Or, I could just munch on it dry, as I have been doing. I like to snack on crunchy stuff while I am working. This has the texture of Cheeto's without the fat and salt. This might be a healthy alternative! It is made by Alf's, and contains the wheat germ. Try some yourself, and leave a comment if you do!

Hey, another great snack that DD does love is a whole baby dill pickle! I noticed on the label that they are ZERO fat and ZERO calories! Snack away!

Something for the Girls

I just finished this alchemy request for a "Chicken Coop Sign" for a darling Etsy customer. She has a Hip Urban Chicken Coop with several Ladies, no Roosters. They lay colored eggs! Anyway, she wanted something funky and mod for them, and this is what I came up with. I am pleased, hope she will be as well. I think this is such a cute hobby, raising hens!

An Etsy Shop I Admire!

Way back at the first of the year, I found a pleasant surprise in a Google search of my user name. I found a Darling shop review about my Etsy shop on the Darling blog, the Casbah Kitten! These two cute kitties, Alice and jane, have been entertaining me ever since with their funny antics and banter on this fun blog! I discovered that they also have an Etsy shop full of wonderful playthingies for cats and dogs! My Shih Tzu, Clementine, has pointed out these items as her personal Fav's.(the flying pig is a cat toy, but Clementine has always sort of wanted to be a cat anyway.) These kitties are so funny and cute, I wanted to spread the word about them to all of you animal lovers out there!
